If there was ever any doubt that Maggie Rogers was more than just a viral video, it was well and truly quashed by her outstanding debut album Heard It In A Past Life. Widely received as one of the best albums of 2019 by publications including Rolling Stone and GQ, Rogers reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Since its January release, it has been a constant fixture in my recently played with its stunning array of songs providing you with tunes to dance to, cry to and be in awe of. Staying to true to her unique brand of “witchy feminist Rockstar” Heard It In A Past Life screams of influences such as the queens themselves Florence Welch and Stevie Nicks, matched with stand-out production and a true talent for song-writing.

Rogers electro-folk sound is riding at the forefront of a new, exciting era of genre-bending.  And I can’t wait to see where she takes us next in 2020.
