Barcelona’s biggest music festival Primavera Sound is set to return to Parc del Fòrum from 4th–8th June, bringing with it an unbeatable mix of indie icons, pop disruptors, and genre-defying experimentalists. With Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter leading the charge, Primavera’s 2025 edition is shaping up to be one for the books. Here are seven of the acts we’re most excited to see…
Charli XCX
Charli XCX is no stranger to ripping up the rulebook, and Brat is further proof that she’s in a lane of her own. Blending the filthiest club beats with a knowing wink to early-2000s pop stardom, her Primavera set is set to be a hedonistic, high-BPM explosion. If you want a full-throttle rave experience at a festival, Charli’s got you covered.
LCD Soundsystem
Few bands make existential crises feel as euphoric as LCD Soundsystem. Their set is bound to be packed with sprawling build-ups and cathartic climaxes, with ‘Someone Great’ tugging at heartstrings and ‘Dance Yrself Clean’ triggering absolute mayhem in the crowd. James Murphy has the rare ability to make thousands of people feel both nostalgic and invincible all at once – expect this set to be an emotional rollercoaster.
FKA twigs
FKA twigs doesn’t just perform: she creates an entire world on stage. Whether she’s floating through operatic high notes, twisting herself into hypnotic dance routines, or layering ethereal electronic beats over raw vulnerability, every second of her set is likely to feel like an out-of-body experience. If there’s one artist guaranteed to leave Primavera attendees spellbound, it’s her.
IDLES
For anyone who fancies a bit of chaos, IDLES are the answer. If their past festival appearances are anything to go by, expect blistering guitars, unrelenting energy, and frontman Joe Talbot spending just as much time in the crowd as he does on stage. There will be moshing. There will be sweat. And there will, inevitably, be someone trying to crowd-surf on a rubber dinghy.
Fontaines D.C.
Gritty, unrelenting, and dripping in poetic cynicism, Fontaines D.C. have built a reputation for some of the most urgent, no-nonsense live shows on the circuit. From the raw intensity of ‘Boys in the Better Land’ to the brooding slow burn of ‘I Love You’, their Primavera set is sure to be a riotous, beer-soaked affair.
Clairo
Clairo might not be as high-energy as some of the other acts on this list, but that doesn’t mean she won’t have the Primavera crowd completely in her grip. With her dreamy indie-pop sound and introspective lyrics, her set promises to be a hazy, sun-drenched moment of calm amidst the festival madness.
Amaia
One of Spain’s most beloved indie artists, her delicate vocals and heartfelt songwriting offer a welcome contrast to the high-energy chaos of Primavera’s bigger acts. Whether you’re already a fan or hearing her for the first time, this set promises to be one of the festival’s hidden gems.
Primavera Sound 2025: Who else is playing?
The full line-up features the likes of Haim, Jamie xx, Beach House, Turnstile, and more, making this one of the most stacked bills in Primavera history.
