San Diego // Hinds

Madrid quartet Hinds need no introduction. It’s now just two months till they release their debut record Leave Me Alone and they’ve dampened tastebuds once more with latest cut ‘San Diego’.  Simply put it’s again what we know and love from Hinds. Fuzzy, loud riff development lasting just 2 and a half minutes. Sing-a-long friendly and extremely pleasant. There’s clear progression to a fuller, raw poppy sound which could be an indication that their debut may fuse the garage ferocity with chirpier pop passages.

Rough around the edges, vocals overlapping, typical garage fuse. It’s hard not to love something so natural and un-polished. In a day and age were everything is glossy, auto-tuned and gift wrapped, Hinds are a breath of fresh air.
