1. The Big Moon
The best of the five acts listed are London quartet The Big Moon (formerly known as simply The Moon). They’re a band that make classic indie rock that’s encrusted in sleek, cool confidence. Despite the girls only knowing each other for a year, their sound is well crafted, practiced and experienced. The group claim that they were inspired to start making music after seeing Palma Violets and the Fat White Family, and both of these influences are clearly felt in their debut track ‘Sucker’ with B-side ‘Eureka Moment’. Both songs thrash and pound throughout, leaving you desperate for more.
