Wolf Alice

Wolf-Alicea-1024x682

Wolf Alice, named after a story in Angela Carter’s feminist anthology The Bloody Chamber are as unorthodox musically as in name. Blending a 90s, vintage-rock feel with some grungey and electronic elements, the band epitomise the intellectually-developed North London indie scene from which they hail.

Head over to the 6Music stage at 1630 on Saturday to hear what they have to offer. If you’re still trying to decipher the genre, one of their tracks combines the call of a sample of Step’s ‘Tragedy’ and a screamo-esque response from lead singer Ellie Rowsell. One not to miss.
