8. Independent work? The horror:

Individual-WorkingSo, you’ve wanted to be treated like an adult your whole life, then your teacher sets an optional homework and you feel like you’re on a quiz show with no idea what the correct answer is. Optional means optional and you unfortunately have to deal with making a judgement on whether it’d be beneficial for you to do it.

There’s no point in me trying to convince anyone that it’s better to do the optional work because let’s be honest; you were up till 4am watching Netflix last night and aren’t really feeling that 500 word English Lit essay. However you’ll probably be fully aware of what your teacher would rather you do, so do keep that in mind. Bear in mind that whilst completing the work may be a bore at the time, it could have some seriously beneficial results come August.

Sixth form comes with a whole lot of responsibility and taking your education into your own hands. Who wants spoon-fed GCSEs back? *raises hand*
