With a lineup already boasting Foo Fighters, Warpaint, Depeche Mode and Alt-J, – as well as The Kills and Ryan Adams – the 11th edition of Lisbon’s NOS Alive festival has added London’s finest, The xx, to the Palco NOS stage billing.
Last year, NOS Alive celebrated its 10th anniversary with a star-studded cast that included Arcade Fire, Biffy Clyro, Chemical Brothers and Tame Impala, with 2017 shaping up to be just as impressive, even at this early stage.
The xx will arrive in Portugal’s capital off the back of touring their hotly anticipated third studio album, I See You, which is scheduled to drop on 13th January. With ‘On Hold’ being the only single released from the record thus far, albeit to widespread acclaim, fans and critics alike are eagerly awaiting new material from the Young Turks artists.
