WWE and 2K Games have unveiled the release date and cover star for WWE 2K23. Set to release on March 17, this year’s release will feature John Cena on the cover of all three editions to mark his 20th anniversary with WWE.
Along with the Standard Edition, there will be two special editions – the Deluxe and Icon editions – which will feature bonus content for the game’s MyFaction mode, additional characters in post-launch DLC along with three days of Early Access. There will also be a Cross-Gen Digital Edition with both previous and current-gen versions of the game on consoles.
WWE 2K23 will feature a refreshed Showcase mode with players able to revisit some of Cena’s most iconic matches with insights and commentary from the man himself. The game will also feature a WarGames mode, based on the fan-favourite match type, featuring 3v3 and 4v4 matches for both single and multiplayer along with the MyGM, MyFaction and MyRise modes and an expanded Creation Suite.
Pre-orders for all editions are available now, with those who pre-order receiving a bonus content pack featuring the Grammy award-winning Bad Bunny as a playable character at launch.
WWE 2K23 will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC from March 17. Watch the reveal trailer below.
