Announcements for post-pandemic tours are coming in thick and fast right now, with artists announcing tours for late 2021 and early 2022 left, right and centre. One of those announcements is from Wolf Alice, giving fans of the band a date to look forward to!

The British quartet of Ellie Rowsell (vocals and guitar), Joff Oddie (guitar and vocals), Theo Ellis (bass) and Joel Amey (drums and vocals) will be embarking on a headlining tour of the UK and Ireland in 2022, their first run as a headliner since 2018. It will continue throughout January, stopping in most of the major cities of the UK, as well as Dublin in Ireland and a gig at the De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill-on-Sea.

This UK and Ireland tour next year will be in support of their upcoming album Blue Weekend, due to be released on 11 June 2021 through Dirty Hit. Blue Weekend will be their first album in 4 years and will be available on all DSPs, vinyl, CD and cassette.

Written in an Airbnb in Somerset, early demos recorded in a converted church and the final product being produced by Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Bjork, Brian Eno, Florence and The Machine), it promises to be an album that’s yet another great evolution of Wolf Alice’s sound following the massive success of their two previous albums My Love Is Cool and Visions Of A Life.

The band played 187 shows in support of Visions Of A Life. which included selling out Alexandra Palace, two sold-out dates at Brixton Academy and an appearance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

The Last Man On Earth‘, the first single from the new album, is out now.

Tickets for the tour can be purchased here. Whilst tickets won’t go on general sale until 26 March, fans who pre-order any pre-order bundle or package for Blue Weekend by 5:00pm GMT on 23 March through either the Wolf Alice or Dirty Hit stores will be able to enter a pre-sale on 24 March beginning at 9:00am GMT. Anyone who’s already pre-ordered the album will receive a pre-sale code automatically.
