NEW RADICALS – Someday We’ll Know
New Radicals had already split up by the time their second single came along. After years of grafting, Gregg Alexander had hit the big time with ‘You Get What You Give’. However, he tired of the celebrity schmoozing and the gruelling touring, and was already chucking away his bucket hat as ‘Someday We’ll Know’ was warmed up. It’s probably just as well, as it’s a mawkish, so-so ballad that could never be as catchy as their debut.

Good or bad: ‘You Get What You Give’ is such a well-established anthem that ‘Someday We’ll Know’ instantly flounders.
