This year’s Victorious Festival has announced a brand new area for the event, which is held over the August Bank Holiday in the seaside town of Southsea. The area is named ‘World Music Village’ and is brought to the festival by Portsmouth’s very own international charity, Arms Around The Children. The charity champions orphaned children by providing safe and loving homes as well as funding for education and care. The charity has also worked with the likes of Mark Ronson and Alicia Keys on different events in both London and New York respectively.

The stage will see a headline set from Grammy nominated Swedish singer-songwriter and DJ, Neneh Cherry, North London’s Natty and collaborator to the stars, Liam Bailey; who has worked with the likes of DJ Fresh and Rita Ora.

The brand new area will also see a range of different global cultural events taking place throughout the day, including Bollywood dancers, a Bhangra party and the award winning Steel Pan Jazz Orchestra. The World Music Village will also play host to the People’s Lounge, where there will be a diverse range of local talent.
