With soaring raspy vocals, an uptempo enthusiasm and a confidence that’s almost sinful, Same Streets capture our undivided attention with their track ‘Wired’. The rock ‘n’ rollers are Nottingham natives, consisting of James Gooch (guitar, vocals), Jacob Harris (bass) and Seb McNish (drums). Having formed only in 2014, the band has clocked up an impressive line-up of shows in their short time together, including a gig at this year’s Dot to Dot Festival.

The single has a raw, energetic intensity from the moment we hear the first strum of the guitar and bashing of the drum kit. Fusing well with its instrumental counterparts is Gooch’s gravelly voice, which has a Jake Bugg-esque tone to it telling us he’s not going to “fall in line” with the rest of the world.
And with this rebellious ethos, Gooch and the boys leave us with, “you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone”. If you can’t bear the thought of them disappearing on you, follow the band of Twitter or like them on Facebook.
