Get ready to fall in love with Lucas Nord’s ‘Undeniable’; a summer dance hit drenched in colourful energy. He is certainly cementing himself in the new school of indie-pop, with the likes of SG Lewis and Louis The Child. But with credits like working with cool girl Tove Lo already to his name, it is not surprising that Nord’s latest work is a mix of mainstream appeal with underground edge.
The lo-fi beat and tropical timbre fuse in this warm, light-hearted track. Expertly produced with soft, atmospheric drops, ‘Undeniable’ is not a clunky, thumping dance sound. It confidently places its weight in the bassline to carry the catchy track. Nord demonstrates that skilful production trumps over the top efforts. And a warm, percussive approach can make a dynamic sound.
‘Undeniable’ will have you undeniably hooked on this Swedish producer. So keep an ear to the wall ready for EP Boy Restlss, coming October 23rd.
