They might have started making music separately but brothers Callum and Ewan Merrett, a.k.a Bad Sounds, have steadily become a hit for their eclectic sounds and upbeat, gig-venue ready anthems.

Following the release of their impressive five-track EP Escaping from A Violent Time Vol 2 comes ‘Nu Me Nu Yu’, a track bursting with engaging instrumentals and fun vocal harmonies.

Of their new track, the band said “‘Nu Me Nu Yu’ is a song that was originally destined for one of our side projects, but everybody we know told us it sounds too much like Bad Sounds, so we eventually got the hint and now we feel silly for not realizing it ourselves. The lyrics are pretty self explanatory, they’re just spelled stupid.”

The track is a Bad Sounds song through and through, full of catchy instrumentals and vocals destined to put a smile on listeners’ faces. With a sound that bounces between genres, the song emphasises how the band is – at its heart – two brothers making music and having plenty of fun doing it.

The track is also coupled with a video, which perfectly captures the fun and slightly trippy vibes that the band have become known for since their debut in 2017.

In our ever changing world, it’s nice to take a moment to switch off and let go and this track might just be the perfect one for those times.
