Marged Sion is a Welsh electronic artist. Now based in London, she adopted the stage name MRGD and has released her debut single, ‘Lover Go’. The track was produced by SAKIMA, who has previously worked with house producer Cyril Hahn.

The concept of ‘Lover Go’ is about the protagonist breaking free from a controlling relationship, which is enhanced by the tortured yet clean production. Although there is a lot of layering in the track, this is tied together by the brilliant mixing, giving MGRD’s soaring vocals some air to breathe. The lead synthesizer in the chorus will be firmly implanted in your head, while the drums sound beautiful and ambient.

MRGD’s vocals also draw you in, the melodies slightly reminiscent of Marina and the Diamonds, and if she can come up with similarly catchy choruses, she is set for big things in the future. In the meanwhile, you can keep up with her on Facebook or Instagram.
