The world’s favourite maneater is back with a bang.
Nelly Furtado’s new single ‘Love Bites’, released 22nd May 2024, provides all the fun, confidence and sensuality listeners have come to expect from her, with a completely fresh twist provided by the likes of Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo and musician SG Lewis.
If Nelly Furtado is not featured anywhere on your ‘pre-night out getting ready’ playlist, this is your sign. Her early-2000s hits provide the perfect confidence boost, and her new music is absolutely no exception.
The track is nothing short of yet another club classic from Nelly, impossible to stay still to, with the hook “I want your body on mine / Boy you’re looking too fine / The way your love bites” leaving little to the imagination for listeners. The fast-paced rhythm made up of catchy techno beats provided by SG Lewis and Tove Lo provide a sound impossible not to dance to, perfectly complimenting Nelly’s pulsing vocals making up the melody.
The track has been gaining popularity following Nelly’s Tiny Desk Concert performance recently, with more live performances to follow. The Nelly renaissance is here to stay, and we are not complaining.
