Three-piece indie rock band, Adelphi, have really proved themselves with their track ‘Hip Shaker.’ It is exciting, upbeat, and truly rock n roll. The lyrics come across as rather cynical which makes it all the more exciting to listen to.

“You’re a lip biter, tongue twister, hip shaker and we can’t get enough of you” the song starts, with the lead vocals accompanied by some quiet guitar chords. The song then picks up with a groovy guitar line. The first words to appear in the song are repeated throughout the song as the chorus. Having the main guitar drop out during the verses and then coming back in during the chorus keeps it engaging. The song in general does a good job of keeping it fresh as no two sections really sound the same; not to mention the guitar solo which fits into the song perfectly.
