Track Review: Hide // Little May

Little May are known for their incredible vocals and wonderfully melodic songs and ‘Hide’ demonstrates the full range of their skills and current style. The track opens very gently and peacefully with simple yet elegant vocals and a beautifully crafted guitar backing. It then floods into the chorus where layers of rhythm and heavenly vocals are added. The song becomes the embodiment of a summer night sitting around a campfire, and it manages to create this atmosphere so spectacularly. The lyrics are amazingly well written and follow a narrative pattern, with the story unfolding as the melody develops.

The video for the track is also very powerful and helps to tell this wonderful narrative. Created by Sean Dooley, the video is a brilliant translation of the song into a visual showpiece.
