Los Angeles-based multi-genre artist, producer and musician Party Nails has returned with another gripping single. The track is entitled ‘First Responder’ and the experimental alternative pop song is the second release off of her forthcoming album Pillow Talk. Party Nails partnered with New York-based label Eye Knee Records (Holly Miranda, Amb. Parsley) for the music, opening up a new chapter for the prolific songwriter.

‘First Responder’ is a highly relatable song detailing those people in our lives who suck up so much of our time and energy and not in a good way. Sometimes someone can try and command all of our attention and their behavior is toxic. With her new single Party Nails tells this all too familiar story. She sings, “I’m trying to be your friend / Well I am sick and tired of changing all my plans / I’m like a first responder / Rushing to the scene to hold your hand.”

The alt-pop track is captivating with its colourful and striking rhythms, expansive synths and bold beats. Party Nails elevates her artistry to new heights, seamlessly blending pop sensibilities and catchy hooks with experimental sounds. Coproduced with Ben Greenspan, ‘First Responder’ is a lush palette of sounds that range from sparkling electronic elements to more organic instrumentation.

Party Nails is one of the most innovative voices in contemporary music. Her fearless experimentation and emotional honesty create a rich listening experience that lingers long after the final note. The creator debuted music in 2015 and since then has been making waves.  Her music has appeared in multiple TV shows including Girls and Pretty Little Liars and she has toured the world, building a fervent fanbase. If ‘First Responder’ is a taste of what’s to come, we can’t wait to hear what is next from this riser.
