After the release of the hit single ‘Bad Liar’ back in May, Selena Gomez is back again with a brand new sound for latest single ‘Fetish’. The sultry track features rapper Gucci Mane and is another turning point in Gomez’s notorious recording career, and the futuristic style will no doubt gain her an army of new fans.

‘Fetish’ is completely different to ‘Bad Liar’, which has been one of Selena’s biggest hits to date, but nevertheless still boasts an infectious beat and strong lyrics. The sexually provocative nature of the lyrics corresponds similarly with previous singles ‘Good For You’ and ‘Hands to Myself’ as Selena focuses on her love and passion for another man.

However, ‘Fetish’ sees the pop star embracing and celebrating self-love throughout the track as she confidently expresses her worth, acknowledging that no matter how coldly she treats him, her man will always come running back. Lyrics include “You got a fetish for my love / I push you out and you come right back / Don’t see a point in blaming you / If I were you, I’d do me too”. Gucci Mane’s rap in the middle adds another dimension to the chilled out track.

There’s no denying that the former Disney star has found her true music style and is coming into her own as a pop artist. With her latest two singles being hits, her third solo album is set to be incredibly successful.
