Shem Sharples has returned with his highly anticipated track ‘Crystal Clear View.’ The song is taken from his upcoming album, Strange Sounds From the Wreckage, which comes out in September. ‘Crystal Clear View’ is in a similar vein to previous singles ‘A Form of Air’ and ‘The Hopping List’ because they tell stories that draw you into the songs.

‘Crystal Clear View’ starts off on an uplifting note with the soft acoustic guitar and harmonica adding a folky twist. The singer-songwriter has joined forces with bass powerhouse Thor Brown on the track. When Sharples sings “Champagne sparkles in the afternoon” it puts a smile on your face. It’s a story about the beauty and wonder life has to offer.

Sharples’ message shines through on the rest of the song because it shows off his unique voice. You can tell he had a lot of fun making ‘Crystal Clear View’ because there is a lot of chemistry between his voice and the instruments.

‘Crystal Clear View’ demonstrates a refreshing talent. If this is anything to go by, then Strange Sounds From the Wreckage will be the positive message that we all need.
