Confidence Man is back, and the dynamic Australian duo have just dropped two explosive dance tracks following their 2023 win for Best Independent Dance or Electronica Album. These tracks are a preview of their upcoming third album, 3AM (LA LA LA), set for release on October 18, 2024. They offer a glimpse of the relentless energy that has made Confidence Man a staple in the modern dance scene.

The first track, ‘CONTROL’, is a hyperactive burst of sound that blends high-pitched synths with a pulsating acid baseline. It feels like the love child of a 90s trance anthem and the theme of a wildly chaotic children’s TV show. There’s no downtime in this track—from the punchy, repetitive vocals to the wild acid bass, ‘CONTROL’ is designed to make you move. With its ever-rising synths and high-octane energy, it’s a fun, infectious track that instantly puts you in a good mood and makes it impossible to sit still.

On the flip side, ‘REAL MOVE TOUCH’ explores a different corner of the dance spectrum. This track opens with the voice of Sweetie Irie, whose old-school MCing gives the song a throwback feel. He brings a grounded, rhythmic pulse that contrasts with the track’s soaring, modern elements. The accordion chords lend it a 90s rave nostalgia, while the fast-paced drums and clever structuring pull it right into the present. It’s the perfect balance of vintage and modern dance energy.

While ‘CONTROL’ and ‘REAL MOVE TOUCH’ each have distinct characteristics, they share one undeniable trait: they make you want to move. Confidence Man has once again shown their knack for crafting infectious dance anthems that get your head bobbing and feet jumping.
