Released just last week, the new track, ‘Another One’, from established and much loved singer songwriter, Mac Demarco, sees him steering his sound in a slightly different direction than some of his previously released material.
Harbouring a slightly more synthetic sound than one has come to expect from Demarco, the track carries a relaxed, continuous drum beat throughout, and the lyrics – repetitive and sung with a mostly slurry inclination – are poignant and uniform.
With dates announced for the UK in the coming months, who knows what this taster of new material could mean for Mac and his masterful, ever-progressing talent for rolling out tune after tune after tune.
