London Irish (All 4)

This one-series comedy from Lisa McGee (creator of Derry Girls) has just six 25-minute episodes, which is definitely not enough to contain its chaotic and hilarious characters. It follows four Irish twenty-somethings who live in London and constantly get into crazy and inappropriate situations. This might appeal only to those who have a dark sense of humour, as some of their antics aren’t for the faint-hearted, but with such a short viewing time, it’s easy to binge and will leave you wishing for a second series. Unexpectedly, it also features Phoebe Waller-Bridge in a psychotic supporting role, which is definitely worth seeing.

Inside No. 9 (BBC iPlayer)

From the creators of The League of Gentleman, Inside No. 9 is a dark comedy anthology series that includes stories about ghosts, witchcraft, murder, and a lot of weirdness. It’s the perfect blend of quirky, outrageous characters and disturbing scenes, making it a funny and compelling watch. Each episode is connected by the number 9, and presents various different tales, with Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton playing different characters in each episode. With 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, Inside No. 9 is the only series on this list with more than three seasons, so anyone who loves shows like Black Mirror will love binging all of its gloriously strange episodes.
