  1. Here Comes The Night Time // Reflektor (2013)

Inspired by the Haitian family roots of lead singer Régine Chassagne, this drum filled, six-minute extravaganza embraces all three albums that heralded Reflektor. The lyrics of “If you’re looking for hell, just try looking inside” hail back to the connotations of loss in Funeral, the preachy, lyrics of “If you want to be righteous/ if you want to be righteous get in line” remind us of Neon Bible and the reflective nature of the lyrics “When you look in the sky, just try looking inside” throw back to the nostalgic themes in The Suburbs. Whilst the Haitian drumbeat is something of its own, the rest of the connotations to albums past will leave you feeling as though you have been on a whirlwind tour of Arcade Fire’s repertoire.
