Tokyo Game Show 2015: Sony Conference Roundup

Sony began proceedings at this year’s Tokyo Game Show with a conference event at Tokyo’s Midtown Hall. From first looks, console exclusives and celebrating milestones, there was a wide variety of titles on show.


 

There was new trailers for upcoming titles such as Star Wars Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn along with an in-depth look at the Oni warriors in For Honor. There were also first look trailers for DragonQuest Heroes 2 and the newly announced Gundam Extreme VS Force and One Piece: Burning Blood.

Fans also got a detailed look at the nine new interchangeable console skins and four special edition controller colours for PS4 and the four new colour options for PS Vita. There was also a look at PlayStation Now, the company’s new subscription streaming service and also the confirmation that the company’s virtual reality would now be simply know as PlayStation VR.

Several titles also received confirmed release dates, Exist Archive: The Other Side of The Sky will launch December 17 on PS4 and PS Vita, Airship Q is available on trial now through PlayStation Plus ahead of a November 19 launch and DragonQuest Builders will be released on January 28 2016 with Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness launching on February 25 2016.

2016 will also see the releases of a new chapter of the SaGa series – Scarlet Grace – on PS Vita, Toukiden 2 on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, World of Final Fantasy on PS4 and PS Vita, Nioh, Phantasy Star Online 2 and The King of Fighters XIV on PS4.
