A new production about the Apollo 13 moon mission will be available for home viewing in the Autumn.

Apollo 13: The Dark Side of the Moon is a new production by Torben Betts, with the Original Theatre Company. The creators of the recent hit Birdsong Online have stated their Apollo 13 piece to be their ‘most ambitious project’ to date.

Set to be available online from 7:30pm on 8th October until 31st December 2020, this production marks the 50th anniversary of the remarkable Apollo 13 mission. Betts’ writing is based partly, on genuine transcripts. The Dark Side of the Moon will tell the story of astronauts Jim Lovell, Fred Haise and Jack Swigert’s battle for survival after they lose communication with Earth 77 hours into their mission, and have to navigate in total darkness as they loop around the moon.

Directed by Alastair Whatley and Charlotte Peters, The Dark Side of The Moon stars Christopher Harper as Lovell, Michael Salami as Haise and, Tom Chambers as Swigert. It will also feature Philip Franks as present day Lovell, Willie Jonah as present day Haise, Jenna Augen as Capcom, and Poppy Roe as Patricia Cooper.

Tickets are available for pre-order online from £10, with VIP packages also available.
