Extinction

Fight off the ogre hoard in this action-packed title. In Extinction, players take on the role of Avil, one of the last remaining warriors of an ancient order who is tasked with defending humanity. In a battle that has spanned generations, a race of ogres known as the Ravenii has been waiting on the edges of the world for the right time to strike. Players will be able to take on the story solo or take on multiplayer challenges in Skirmish mode. Those looking for a true challenge can take on the titular Extinction mode, facing wave upon wave of enemies with no respite in sight.

Players who pre-order will receive a special code to unlock three exclusive trials. In “Short Fuse”, “Last Legs” and “Heads, You Win”, players will have to work against the clock to hone their fighting skills. The Deluxe Edition will also include the Days of Dolorum Season Pass, allowing players to access new and exclusive content for the game as it is released.

Extinction will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC from April 10*

Darkest Dungeon: Crimson Edition

The deeper you go, the darker it gets in this RPG adventure. In Darkest Dungeon, players have inherited ownership of a vast and plentiful estate. However, all is not as it appears to be as the catacombs and dungeons below ground are now home to a number of nightmarish creatures, brought forth as a result of the previous owner’s excavations. With the ownership now in the player’s hands, they must set out to rid the lands of these creatures, while recruiting adventurers and explorers along the way.

This Crimson Edition features a copy of the game along with the full Crimson Court DLC. This addition adds a new hero class along with a new region – The Courtyard – and a new faction. Crimson Court also includes five new bosses, a new Fanatic wandering boss, new districts, hamlet buildings, maps and full trinket sets to collect.

Darkest Dungeon: Crimson Edition will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch from April 13*

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality

Doing chores has never been so surreal as this VR caper comes to PlayStation. In Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, players step into the shoes of Morty Smith, a young man who is cajoled by his mad scientist grandfather Rick Sanchez into a variety of misadventures including clone messes and other-worldly beings on a daily basis. Based on the popular Adult Swim series, this virtual reality tale starts with a simple request to do some laundry before taking a turn for the truly bizarre.

Featuring many of the characters from the show, Virtual Rick-ality will give fans a chance to experience the world of Rick and Morty like never before. From Rick’s garage through a real fake door to outer space and even a stop in Purgatory, this new story will have players cover everything from learning how to fix an intergalactic car to questioning your self-worth and how to get yelled at (or not) by a deranged scientist.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality will be available on PlayStation 4 from April 13*

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life

This action-adventure series takes a more personal turn for this latest outing. In Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, players once more step into the world of Kazuma Kiryu. While recovering in hospital following the events of Yakuza 5, Kiryu makes the decision to let himself be arrested and imprisoned, hoping that he will be able to have a peaceful life with his foster family after being released. Three years later, he returns to Kamurocho to find his foster daughter Haruka is in a coma after being a victim of a hit and run. With Haruka’s life in the balance, Kiryu must travel with Haruka’s infant son around some old haunts to piece together what has happened during his incarceration.

Along with the standard edition of the game, a special After Hour Limited Edition will also be available. This special edition box will include a copy of Yakuza 6, a hardcover art book, two engraved bar glasses, a pair of coasters and ice stones in a specially designed outer box inspired by Kiryu’s iconic tattoos.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be available on PlayStation 4 from April 17*

God of War

The realm of the Norse gods is now home to Kratos in this new chapter to the saga. For the latest title in the God of War franchise, the setting has changed from the isles of Greece to the harsh Norse landscapes. Now father to Arteus, Kratos must try and find a balance in his life like never before – teaching his son how to survive in a hostile world while also keeping the darkness from his past from consuming this new, but fragile, life he has created while also watching for the Norse gods, who are slowly becoming aware of who is living among them.

Players who pre-order will receive a code for three limited edition shield skin designs for Kratos. The Limited Edition will include a copy of the game and Dark Horse Artbook in a steelbook case along with digital content with a new armour set, shield and PS4 theme. The Collector’s Edition will feature the game in a specially designed steelbook case, an exclusive lithograph and cloth map along with Huldra Brothers themed carvings and a nine-inch statue featuring Kratos and Arteus poised for battle. The Collectors Edition will also feature a whole new pack of additional content, including the Death’s Vow Armour and Exile’s Guardian Shield along with a comic and artbook from Dark Horse and PS4 theme.

God of War will be available on PlayStation 4 from April 20*
