Years and Years // Desire
Well. Revision season is upon us already, and GCSE and A-Level exams will be here before we know it (help!). Whilst making mind maps, I love nothing more than some good music to spur me on, and Years and Years have really been filling that role for me this year.
“Desire” is a song that I am particularly fond of. I personally find the dance beat helps me to concentrate, and the upbeat nature of the song helps me to keep motivated; something that can be lost so easily when revising all day. I also love the lyrics, and they provide a nice backdrop to preparing for some of the biggest exams we’ll face. (“I must be tough, I must behave, I must keep fighting”) These lyrics sum up the attitude that is needed to face that pile of past papers and textbooks, be it some organic chemistry or Shakespeare; and succeed at it. Pretty much all Years and Years songs are on my playlist this exam season, and I’d definitely recommend them. Happy revising and good luck!
