The Game Awards have announced the nominations and internet became once again divided over The Last of Us Part II.
2020 has been a roller-coaster but we have to appreciate one thing about it: it gave us more time to play video games.
As the year is close to an end and we’re getting ready to welcome 2021, the Game Awards are around the corner. This year’s event will be delivered online via streaming services with no in-person audience on 10th December and is expected to reach even more fans than before.
The nominations for the Game of the Year are as follow:
Doom Eternal
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Ghost of Tsushima
Hades
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The Last of Us Part II
The Last of Us Part II keeps being controversial
There were some incredible games this year and we cannot be sure what game is going to win which awards, but the people are being vocal about their opinions online and they cannot agree.
The biggest discussion was caused by the Last of Us Part II. When the game was released, fans either loved it or hated it.
The debate was stirred even more after TLOUII won four awards at the Golden Joystick Awards.
