Whether you like it or not, you are The Chosen One and must bear the Ultimate Weapon: The Testament.

Testament: The Order of High Human is a sword-swinging, spell-slinging and bow-shooting first-person fantasy game. With a trailer released promising complex lore and a range of strange environments, dungeons and creepy enemies, this game is sure to be a favourite of any fans of Bethesda’s Skyrim.

Set in the sprawling land of Tessara, you play as Aran, the King of the High Humans and Guardian of the Realm, who has been betrayed by his brother Arva, stripped of his powers and his kingdom shrouded in monsters and ‘The Darkness’.

Developed by Fairyship Games, Testament: TOHH has been in development for four and half years and has a Metroidvania feel to it, with both Elder Scrolls-like crisp graphics, and intricate 2D puzzles reminiscent of Resident Evil 4.

In a similar vein to RE:4, T: TOHH boasts a crafting system in addition to the extensive spells it has, with 15 magical powers including AOE, trap, defensive, DPS (Damage per Second) and single-target spells.

You may have heard of Fairyship Games from Shame Legacy, a first-person survival horror with cultish puzzles, set to release on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation and XBOX later this month. Testament: The Order of High Human looks like a fully fleshed-out, Metroidvania RPG, though we will have to wait and see if the game lives up to its trailer.

Testament: The Order of High Human is currently in development for PC, PS5, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and is available to wishlist on Steam right now.
