‘Arsonist’s Lullabye’ is a bonus track featured on the special edition version of Hozier’s much acclaimed self-titled debut album, released last November.

The track starts with layered, harmonised humming before the introduction of the powerful beat and guitar riff, which radiate Arctic Monkey-esque vibes. As always, Hozier boasts rich, soulful vocals throughout the song which are matched by the quality and depth of the track itself. Similarly to many of Hozier’s other pieces, there are biblical references and sinful allusions scattered throughout the song, with connotations of hell, fire and demons.

‘Arsonist’s Lullabye’ captivates the listener until the very last second of the song, and is extremely thought provoking and sensual whilst the use of the strong, steady beat and bassline dramatizes the track.

‘Arsonist’s Lullabye’ is another of Hozier’s powerfully haunting tracks which has the rare ability to take the listener on a journey through the spiritual depth of emotions.
