Following the success of her debut album Like I Used To, Lucy Rose is back with the gloriously summery offering ‘Our Eyes’. Released in April of this year, ‘Our Eyes’ is the first track from Lucy Rose’s second album Work It Out. Undeniably this is one of Rose’s more experimental tracks, encompassing the perfect combination of slightly husky vocal with a heavy, layered instrumental.
According to the 25 year old singer herself, ‘The song is about when someone has done something that has annoyed or upset you, but as soon as your eyes meet you can’t help but smile and forget about it all and make up”, a positive vibe which is definitely conveyed through the track.
The fresh fusion of up-tempo guitar lines and infectious electronic tones makes ‘Our Eyes’ an obvious choice for our Song of the Week.
