The winter chill may be getting to a lot of us, but as the days get longer this breezy track from South London indie popper KYKO (real name Scott Verill) has us browsing for beach clothes in anticipation. It has all the makings of a road-trip playlist stalwart, from the bass-line in the vein of The 1975 to the wistful pleas to “come on and run away”, and keeps a foot-tapping momentum throughout.

His releases are relatively few, but their summery nonchalance has been garnering attention, with his latest single ‘Native’ being named BBC Introducing’s track of the week. You can catch him live in London next month; in the meantime, keep this song in mind for sunnier days.
