Leeds four-piece Marsicans are a band that you ought to be excited about. If you haven’t heard of them already, then we’d have to ask whether you’ve been living in a cardboard box, as in recent years they have supported Howler, CATB and The Pigeon Detectives.

Their distinctive sound is reminiscent of Little Comets or D.I.D, but they’re giving the genre a facelift with delectable cocktails of sound like ‘Gone in a Second’. Whether you’re lounging in a park with friends, hosting a BBQ (you brave soul) or simply chilling in your bedroom, this summery construction is an essential addition to any playlist.

It’s upbeat and poppy without being cheesy, and one of those rare songs you know the words to after only a few listens through, which is testament to its catchiness and relatability factor. We’ve made it our Song of the Week because it’s too good not to introduce to a few more peoples’ iTunes libraries. You can buy the single from iTunes here.
