Theatre fans rejoice, Six the Musical is opening their doors again with a new West End run at the Lyric Theatre and for a Christmas run at the Lowry in Salford.
Six will open at the Lyric Theatre from the 14th November to the 31st January with nine shows every week. It will then return to the Arts Theatre from March 2021. This comes on the back of Six‘s recent run of outdoor performances that concluded in London on the 12th September.
This announcement comes in line with six West End venues owned by Nimax Theatres will reopen for a series of socially distanced runs beginning from 22nd October. Beginning with the Apollo theatre (presenting This Is Going to Hurt), four other venues (Palace, Vaudeville, Duchess and Garrick) will reveal their plans soon.
Six will also open at the Lowry for a six week run beginning on the 27th November 2020, with the tour cast expected to star. Tickets already purchased for the aligning dates in Salford will still be valid.
It will be interesting to see how Six will cope with the possibility of a second wave or tighter social distancing measures. However, what is clear is that this news brings hope for the future of theatres and the reopening of performance spaces.
The West End Queendom Presale is at 08:00 on Wednesday 16th September, and the Salford Public sale begins at 10:00 on Wednesday 16th September.
