Florence and her machine have returned 4 years after the release of her 2nd album Ceremonials. She comes back with what can only be described as a massive sounding song, her vocals portray that of her idol, one Kate Bush, but that something she’s always managed to accomplish and adds that extra weight to her music and it is no different in ‘What Kind Of Man’. The guitar riff is infectious and draws you in straight away, add that to the vocals that Florence Welch is capable of we are looking at one of the best pop songs released this year so far.

Florence sings about the pain that love brings as you can tell by the chorus, with Welch belting out “What kind of man loves like this” and the feeling of still holding on with the line “You inspired a fire of devotion / That lasted 20 years“, a brilliant comeback track from Florence and the Machine that could easily fill arenas and the odd field here and there. With her album due out on June 1st and already having top billing at a lot of major European Festivals, we won’t be surprised when she gets the nod to top the bill of the biggest festival in the world. Glastonbury is calling, Miss Welch.
