Dynamic indie/alternative four piece band Veludo Planes have recently indulged the public with their catchy debut single ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro’, an impending success which was released on iTunes on March 1st. Taking their inspiration from Ernest Hemingway’s short story, this vibrant track voices the heartfelt emotions which the novel is so renowned and loved for.

With a melodic manner similar to that of Tribes, combined with the powerful rock sound of Pixies, lead singer Mike Smith’s raspy vocals are fully exposed amid the metallic guitar riffs and the atonal background.

Following a series of recent live shows supporting the likes of Circa Waves and Flyte and with the talk of upcoming dates, the future seems awfully promising for the talented Southsea quartet that is Veludo Planes.
