High Tyde already showed promise after being added to the BBC introducing list, but their new song ‘Talk To Frank’ is all the proof you need that 2015 will be a great year for the group from Brighton. The simple but catchy introduction is incredibly effective and leads into Cody Mathews’ vocals which initially boasts the same slick confidence as Alex Turner in his cover of Drake’s ‘Hold On We’re Going Home’. You can hardly stop yourself from dancing as you get to the chorus.

The undulating bassline is infectious; the combination of the funky beats and lyrics make the song perfect to dance around your room by yourself whilst screaming the words into a hairbrush. It’s not hard to imagine this band really getting festival crowds going come summer. By the time the lyric “You just stare into space/ can’t get my lips off your face” comes around you will probably already be in love with this track.
It definitely won’t be long before we start seeing big things from this band. Their new EP Fuzz is out the 9th March.
