‘Red Light Star’ is the edgy, sun-tinged debut single by unadorned new-age indie pop trio Damn Beats. This catchy and incredibly infectious tune is a mix of Lee Coneley’s lead vocals, cool guitar riffs and wild tempo which results in an exciting range of fans from a great variety of genres. Filled with an undeniable feel-good factor and sing-along chorus, ‘Red Light Star’ often echoes Slimy or Mika without the occasional annoyance factor.

Damn Beats’ single blows any stereotyping of a hip-hop/dance music genre from what their name may suggest out of the water, with their skilled vocal harmonies and carefree quirks. A certain contender for summer anthem of 2015, the trio’s influences range from Hendrix to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Fickle Friends. Their quirky line up and fusion of blues licks and indie riffs only add to their already irresistible charm. A real marvel of a single, and a real marvel of a band.
