Australian indie pop band Slow Turismo have brought forward a rhythmic tune to kick you into that summer feel. Think Hozier, and Razorlight’s ‘America’, and you’ve found yourself sat listening to this upbeat track which will not make you want to sit down, but to get up and dance as soon as you can.
The typical indie pop melodic “ooooo” fills the chorus as lead singer Max Conway belts out catchy lyrics. Fast forward to 2.20 minutes into the song where it finally kicks in and you’re spreading out to form your best mosh pit. Having said that, bands such as Bombay Bicycle Club are among their influences, and it’s clear that their work is informed by this, with a folk feel to it. Keep an eye on Slow Turismo – they may just be coming up with the next summer anthem.
