Jeppe Kiel Revsbech, or Rosenthal as he’s more commonly known, is fast making a name for himself, having just completed an intimate UK tour and appearing in “Track of the Day” features in online magazines throughout Europe. And is it anyone wonder, considering the music he’s producing is simply stunning? ‘Heart’, the title track of his latest EP, has such a whimsical quality to it, full of jangly guitars and lyrics that read like poetry. Rosenthal has a delicate voice, soaring in places and almost whispering in others, subtly enhancing the ethereal tone of the record.

The sound of ‘Heart’ has been compared to that of The Cure, MGMT, The xx and Flock of Seagulls (personally, I think the opening chords are reminiscent of Sigur Rós with hints of Bombay Bicycle Club scattered throughout), but Rosenthal’s sound is very much his own; a dream-like indie pop that deserves to be put on repeat and blasted loud. It’s the kind of song that washes over you and is stuck with you for days. Rosenthal is without a doubt one to watch.
