Following its successful national tour and digital release, Blackeyed Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear will continue to tour throughout 2023.

Directed by Nick Lane, the world premiere will tour across 31 venues in the UK, concluding its run on 26 May 2023.

This stage adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s final Sherlock Holmes novel invites audiences into a world of mystery, murder and adventure as our famous detective duo are reunited to solve yet another case.

When a mysterious coded message arrives, warning them of imminent danger, Sherlock Holmes and his faithful companion Dr Watson start to unravel a sinister web of corruption. Faced with a series of bewildering clues, Holmes starts to unravel the grim and gruesome reality of the Valley of Fear involving a secret society and the cunning work of one Moriarty.

Both Luke Barton and Joseph Derrington are set to reprise their critically acclaimed roles as Holmes and Watson respectively.

The rest of the cast will be playing dual or multiple roles: Blake Kubena plays Jack McMurdo and Detective White-Mason, Gavin Molloy will play Jack McGinty, Cecil Barker, Moriarty and Inspector McDonald and Alice Osmanksi will play Ettie Shafter, Mrs Hudson, Ivy Douglas and Captain Marvin.

The show is produced by Adrian McDougall, artistic director of Blackeyed Theatre and features original music composed by Tristan Parkes, set design by Victoria Spearing, lighting design by Oliver Welsh and costume design by Naomi Gibbs.
