Liverpool’s Royal Court have confirmed that their Christmas show can go ahead as planned, after the city was placed into the second tier of COVID-19 restrictions.
The Royal Court Selection Box will run until the 30th of January, as long as current restrictions are not tightened.
Whilst each show will feature a reduced cast of six members, this will change nightly to allow as many regulars to return as possible. Jake Abraham, Eithne Browne and Roy Brandon are among those already confirmed.

Government regulations have allowed alcohol to be served on the premises and taken into the auditorium. Guests are advised to order via their phones to have their drinks delivered to them to avoid congregating.
In a statement on their website, the Royal Court have said “we have got a wide range of safety plans in place, including a socially distanced cast and audience, temperature checks, new cleaning procedures, enhanced table service, and one-way systems. There will be paperless tickets on your phone, loads of hand sanitizer, and antibacterial door handles and menus.”
The British Theatre Guide describe The Royal Court Selection Box as “a mix of comedy and music” that “will feature a host of familiar faces.”
