Arc Games and Gunfire Games have announced that the third and final DLC for Remnant II will be released later this month.

The Dark Horizon will launch on September 24th alongside a free major content update that will include a new game mode, Boss Rush. Both will launch across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

According to a press release, in this new DLC “players will return to N’Erud and uncover a mysterious place preserved in time, where alien farmlands are tended by robots for inhabitants who have long since perished.” Players will receive a brand-new storyline that will take them through a world of rogue AI and robotic threats.

The experience will include new dungeons, a new glider traversal system, new weapons and items and a new Archetype, “The Warden”. Few details have been revealed about this new Archetype, as more information is set to be revealed in a trailer next week. However, this new class will come with a secret weapon – The Drone. This automated drone will shield, heal or even attack enemies.

The DLC will retail for £8.50, but the Boss Rush update will be free across all platforms. The update is described as “a new game mode for players who want to get straight into the action and go up against bosses”. In this mode, players can go solo or link up with fellow players to play one of three different runs. The runs will vary in difficulty from Triple Threat – a three-boss run, Trial by Fire – a seven-boss run and The Gauntlet – a nineteen-boss run. Along the way, players can earn temporary buffs and elusive drops. Players will be able to access the mode by heading to the World Stone in Ward 13.

A new system, Prisms, will also be introduced into the game. This new feature of the fragment system can be leveled up to grant additional bonuses. Prism will also be free for all players via the update.

Remnant II is available now on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
