5) Jamie T
There are very few people who can claim to be able drive a crowd of venerating fans into such exhilarated states that mosh-pits and crowd-surges before they even set foot upon the stage, but Jamie T is an undeniable exception. And, in the face of a thrilled audience, he played potentially the coolest set of the entire weekend. Playing a set that included a large number of songs off all three of his albums, the London-born genre-defier exerted a control over his audience that clearly accentuates his talent. His rousing and relatable lyrics appeared to flow through the audience’s bodies, combining his catchy guitar riffs and hip-hop undertones and creating an intoxicating atmosphere. Perhaps the most powerful moment of the set came when he played ‘Back In The Game,’ from his début album which features his own voice and an acoustic bass guitar. This combination creates a very raw and honest sound and when performed live, these qualities are heightened even further.
