Remy the Rat, hero of the classic Disney animation Ratatouille, will be making his way from the streets of Paris to Broadway in Ratatouille: the TikTok Musical.
The musical, which originated as a hit song on TikTok, will be brought to life for a one-off charity performance on New Year’s Day 2021.
Although hundreds of users have contributed to the musical, the video which started off the project was by user Emily Jacobson and her song ‘Ode To Remy.’

The live streamed concert is likely to include songs by a variety of different creators including ‘Trash is Our Treasure,’ ‘Tango for Colette and Linguini’ and ‘Anyone Can Cook.’ TikTok users have also made numerous suggestions ranging from the costumes to set design and puppetry.
It’s not yet been confirmed which creators will be cast in the show. However Lizzy Hale, senior manager for content at TikTok commented “in a year where we saw Broadway close, the TikTok community brought musical fans together virtually with one of the most unique trends we have ever seen.”
With ticket sales going towards The Actors Fund, Ratatouille: the TikTok Musical will be available to stream for 72 hours and tickets can be found here.
