Bringing some sunshine to a dreadfully cold winter’s day is some festival news, folks. Primavera Sound is back again in 2017, taking place from 31st May – 4th June. Alongside his exclusive London set at Lovebox next summer, Frank Ocean tops the bill alongside Arcade Fire and The XX, whose highly anticipated new albums are expected to be released prior to the festival. Bon Iver, Aphex Twin, Van Morrison, Grace Jones, Solange and Slayer will also join them.

Taking place at Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum, the seventeenth edition of the festival has almost 200 names already committed to its bill, which promises to be its best yet. Other acts include Mac DeMarco, Angel Olsen, The Magnetic Fields, Flying Lotus, Wild Beasts, Sampha, Teenage Fanclub, Skepta, Metronomy, Run the Jewels, Miguel, Glass AnimalsPinegrove and more.

2016’s edition of the festival included the likes of The Last Shadow Puppets, Tame Impala, Sigur Rós, Parquet Courts and Cass McCombs, and judging by the acts already announced, the festival promises to be as diverse as ever. The announcement means there’s something for everyone in one of Europe’s most famed cities, with tickets currently on sale until 7th January 2017 at €175 (+fees). Grab them while you can and stay tuned for more information leading up to the festival.
