Established in 2015, MIRRORS Festival is a multi-venue all-dayer in Hackney, East London. Taking place on Saturday 29th October, MIRRORS is post-festival season, and slots itself nicely in the drought following the storm of weekenders from July to September.
The 2015 festival saw the likes of The Thurston Moore Band, The Wytches, TRAAMS and Rhye grace 3 stunning venues across East London. With an impressive first line-up, MIRRORS formed, in the words of London in Stereo, an “inaugural festival … delivered with such polished perfection.”
Headlining this year’s event is the thrice Mercury Prize nominated, multi-instrumentalist Bat For Lashes, who since releasing her debut album Fur and Gold in 2006 has been making waves as an unorthodox, evolving artist.
Performing alongside Bat For Lashes are surf rockers Allah-Las, the indie rock outfit Cherry Glazerr, and ex-Coral member & English songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones. Also in attendance is Fucked Up, who’ll be performing their debut album Hidden World in full.
Diarrhea Planet make their first ever UK appearance, armed with a reputation for one of the most raucous and riotous bands on the live circuit. In addition, the dreamy London quintet Swimming Tapes take their place on an admirably diverse line-up.
Other acts on the bill include the soulful singer Liv Dawson, and Babeheaven with their hazy sound and signature swirling guitars. Leeds-based band Caro will also be contributing their romantic indie-pop style to an all-round miscellaneous line-up.
MIRRORS Festival spreads itself across 4 venues in East London; St John’s at Hackney, Oslo, Hackney Round Chapel, and the new addition Moth Club. The festival takes place on Saturday 29th October, and tickets are available to buy here.
