2000trees is going to be great, you don’t need me to tell you that. Since it all begin amongst just a few friends back in 2007, the festival has become a firm fixture in the calendar for all those who love alternative rock music.

The festival has remained true to its core values of being value for money and being conscious of the environment (while remaining independent) – all of which makes it a bloody fantastic festival to be a part of.

But what is going to make 2000tress Festival 2017 so gosh darn special then? Well let me tell you.

They have more headliners than days

That’s right, 2000trees have this year managed to pack in more Main Stage headliners than they have actual days. The 3-day spectacular is welcoming a whopping 5 bands to headline the festival this year. The early-bird Thursday night slot goes to Mallory Knox before Nothing But Thieves and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes join forces to co-headline the Friday night. Capping off the weekend fun are Lower Than Atlantis and Slaves. I know, right?!?!

Headliners of the future

As well as having an overload of headliners, 2000trees continues to be great at supporting and nurturing the next wave of talent and giving them a chance to play. Right now, the scene is awash with new talent and the rolling hills of the Cotswolds will be the place to find them this July. Future headliners in the making come with Black Peaks, Gnarwolves, Honeyblood, Milk Teeth, Decade, Puppy and Beach Slang who are all littered across the line-up.

Watching your favourites not just once but twice

What makes 2000trees extra special are their Forest Sessions, which as the name suggests, take place in the forest away from the main festival site. Here, this year, you will find most of the standout names that will be rocking the Main Stage, Axiom and Cave also in the forest performing a more intimate and stripped set. All the headliners but for Slaves are going to be there but also the likes of Deaf Havana, The Menzingers, Pulled Apart By Horses and Kevin Devine will also be in attendance. In addition, there will be a special performance from Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties; the side-project of The Wonder Years frontman Dan Campbell. It’s going to be insane!

Everything inbetween

Between the headline acts and fresh blood are some solid acts with hot new albums for you to hear. The Menzingers will bring the heralded ‘After The Party’, Deaf Havana’s fresh sounding ‘All These Countless Nights’ and Gnarwolves visceral ‘Outsiders’ are just three of those that you should definitely check out. Elsewhere, firm must-see’s include Dinosaur Pile-Up, The Front Bottoms, Young Guns and festival legend Jamie Lenman who all help shape 2000trees Festival 2017 in one amazing spectacular.

The festival as a whole

Actually, the whole 2000trees line-up is full of some of the greatest alternative bands around. It’s a cliche but this festival is a real representation of ‘the scene’ and what comes with ‘trees is a lot of people being friends and supporting one another. That community spirit and shared appreciation means whatever stage you roll onto, you’ll find something to enjoy and friends to make.

Couple that with some of the greatest festival food imaginable and the stunning scenery of the Cotswolds and you have one of the finest festivals around.
